Zoe Evans

Personal Trainer

Zoe has worked for the last 16 years at Guys and St Thomas NHS Trust in Cancer Care as a specialist Rehabilitation Trainer. Her role has been to support cancer patients’ recovery and improve their fitness during and after treatment. She is passionate about inspiring and educating people to live a healthy life and helping to prevent and/or recover from injury and illness.

Due to a heart health scare and recovering from the birth of her son, she discovered her own medical limits in relation to fitness and suddenly everything she had learnt and practiced at the hospital was not appropriate for her own recovery. She then came across the benefits of weight training and quickly learnt that strength training is as important as aerobic exercise –particularly for women, who typically avoid it through lack of understanding or confidence.

Zoe’s fitness credentials are as follows:

  • Foundation Degree in Health Sciences from London South Bank University - 2011

  • Strength and conditional training for specialty populations. – 2021

  • Nordic walking for rehabilitation therapy - 2019

  • Level 2 fitness instructor – Premier Global NASM Training - 2018

  • Level 3 personal trainer – Premier Global NASM Training - 2018

As well as her work with the NHS, and her role at Purley Sports Club she also works as a personal trainer at a Corporate Nuffield Health site at Whitgift School. Zoe has a holistic approach to personal training and uses both her NHS experience and fitness knowledge to teach boot camp, circuit exercise classes and run small group training sessions focusing on weight training skills for women.

If you’re looking for a friendly, non-judgmental trainer who understands that just getting motivated and feeling confident can sometimes be the hardest part? That's Zoe!
