Chris Ryan

Personal Trainer and Tennis Coach

 

 

Chris is the founder and Managing Director of Baseline Fitness.

 

He graduated with a degree in Sport and Business Management from Southampton University and then gained his REPS level 3 personal trainer qualifications at the European Institute of Fitness, in Javea, Spain. He now devotes all his energies to Baseline Fitness.

 

An experienced personal trainer, Chris is also a qualified tennis coach and has played tennis for over 20 years, competing at national, county and university level and for Purley Tennis Club. 

 

Chris specialises in:

  • Structuring goal-specific programmes aimed at weight loss, toning or improving general fitness levels
  • Training designed to increase muscle mass

Andrew Wakem

Personal Trainer

 

Andy has a level 3 Premier Training International Certificate in Personal Training, Nutrition and Gym Instruction and has recently joined the Baseline Fitness team at Purley.

 

A former Royal Marine Commando (he has been co-running Boot Camps at Purley since March) he has retrained to fulfil a desire to become a Personal Trainer and fitness coach. He uses the diverse skill set gained from his Marines experience to keep himself physically fit and to train others in a healthy, safe and achievable way.

 

Physical training has always been a passion of his and over the years he has experienced many different training methods including military fitness, boxing, strength & conditioning, functional fitness, TRX, and weight lifting which he puts to good use as a skilful and effective personal trainer.

Tanya Clarke

Physiotherapist and fitness instructor

 

Tanya has over ten years' of professional football club experience, having spent time at Fulham FC, Crystal Palace FC and latterly Chelsea FC, where she spent eight years working with first and reserve team players, academy and youth team players and the ladies professional team. She also has experience across a number of diverse sports (including tennis, hockey, squash, netball and lacrosse) and has worked with children and adults from a variety of backgrounds.

  • bespoke rehabilitation exercises
